The Christmas decorations are well and truly up around the shops now, so perhaps its time to start thinking about gift ideas. Eek! Well I've made a start and put together a group of fabulously fresh art and photography gifts all priced at less than US$20 via etsy. Perfect stocking fillers or unique office secret Santa pressies.
Here's a little look at something new I'm working on at the moment. Titled 'Nature Abstract I' until I can think of something a little more interesting. I think its pretty striking and would look great blown up to a really big size. All for sale on the redbubble site.
Loving this image found on ffffound! Not only does it feature my favourite colour - purple - but what a great idea to make all these different shots look like they are actually one building. Might have a go with some of my Italian and Portugal shots.
Redbubble are having a sale!! 15% off the price of all Framed and Canvas Prints for seven whole days. Check out our redbubble store here and put your order in quick!
Dont worry I didn't forget about New Zealand with our new buttons Ts. But instead of buttons I've gone for cats eye shells. I used to find these a lot one beach walks when I lived in NZ and I think they make a great image.
Again the t-shirt is available for sale in different sizes and colours for $35 via my redbubble page, click here for more.
The Opera House, the Aussie, Uk and Ireland, the US and the heart Button T!
They comes in a big choice of colours and sizes from only $35. Available through my redbubble store. Click here to check them out!
I finished another print last night from our New Zealand trip. I wanted to do something a little bit different with this shot. My first thoughts where to simply boost the saturation but I thought that might be a bit obvious.
Really enjoying making t-shirts at the moment. Getting all those ideas Ive had for ages out there. This is the latest design for Sydney-siders out there. Keep calm live in Sydney!
Available from $30 in a variety of colours. Click here to buy.
This ad for Perierr water really caught my eye today. It's an excellent example of Photoshop work. Love the melted disco balls! Via Design Reviver.
Well it had to be done. Everywhere I look there is a new version of the 'Keep Calm and Carry On' poster. So I made a little t-shirt: Keep calm and carry on making keep calm and carry on posters.
And its available through redbubble starting at only $30! Click here to buy.
I came across some gorgeous photos on flickr this week. Just amazing. The work of Leslie at A Creative Mint. Check out more of her work on flickr and her blog.
Ive been busy creating mood boards myself over on the 'i do' it yourself blog. Keep an eye on the site as more wedding inspiration is added.
These little guys are fabulous. Id like to have some to choose from on my desk so I can just hold up the appropriate emotion when people bother me. I'm feeling frustrated just hold up the frustrated ceramic.
They are the work of Belgium artist Mitsy. I think I'd choose Relieved - now that my deadlines are over. Frustrated - because that happens often. And Mean - if you cant say anything nice don't say anything - just hold up your ceramic.
There is one thing I don't have in my house - a clock. Hanging a clock on your wall is like hanging a piece of art, so you have to like it. Well that was never more true than with this clock by Dutch By Design. Its only £45 and comes with all the frames, bit of a bargin! I've never found one I like until I saw this on the decor8 blog. Its also a great idea if you wanted to make one yourself.
Well it's been a horribly traumatic week with no internet access. Stupid Optus. So lets look at something cheerful and fun finally.
Sarah Collier is a mixed media artist from North Carolina. Her lovely whimsical collages use old images from 1950s, 60s and 70s advertising campaigns. AND shes having a sale at her etsy shop with some prints only US$10! My favourites are the beach themed ones, wonder if you can still get that pink bathing suit, go down a treat on Bondi Beach?!
Yup. Sometimes my day feels just like this. 'The Little Wish' print by Dazey Chic
I love the idea of marking out on a map all the places we've been. Above you can see a couple of inspiring ideas from Inside Out magazine (new issue just out). You could have lots of fun with the world map wall sticker from Ferm Living. I also like the idea of marking out trips on the cushions with buttons for each major city visited. I'd have to have a cushion just for Europe I think though.
I love Sunday nights. It's when I trawl through the net looking for cool and inspiring things. Problem is its taking me longer to get through everything as I find more and more stuff! Like this unbelievably cute cushion from Eggagogo. How sweet is it? Yet another use for that big jar of buttons. Reminds me a little of a cushion I saw the other day over at chocolatecreatives blog. Also very cute, by Su Owen.
I didn't post this the other week when I came across it because the sites links weren't working. But it all seems to be running now. This beautiful work is by US artist Sabrina Ward Harrison. You might have seen some of her books such as 'Messy Thrilling Life, the Art of Figuring out How to Live'. Now she's teamed up with a favourite of mine Papaya to produce some more beautiful work. Cant wait till its available in shops, looks gorgeous.
This beautiful artwork was made by cutting a pattern into white textured wallpaper then filling the spaces with colourful handmade paper. A great idea by Box64 Studios. I'm sure this is the textured wallpaper mum used in the bathroom..? Have you got any left mum?
