I'm very excited about the start of a new project at creative monsoon...
Well, when I say new this is actually something I first started working on during my fine arts degree at uni, "uh hum" years ago. I'm busy, busy, busy creating lots of new exciting work. So watch this space.
Until then head on over to our etsy shop, we've got just three prints left! !
We had a sweet treat in the office this week, a box of beautiful hand painted chocolates from Coco Chocolate. Each one was so beautiful it seemed a shame to eat them, but I have to say the flavours were a bit odd. I'm not sure what a geranium is meant to taste like (as I don't usually go around eating them) but geranium chocolate...? Hummm not convinced. But they sure look pretty!
I'm so pleased we have finally made a start on our new kitchen, we've put a deposit down on the design and the sexy new smeg appliances. (Hooray for an oven that doesn't pump hot air at my legs every time I use it!) I thought I'd share a few pics I've been collecting the past year that have inspired the design, sadly I didnt keep records of credits, sorry. But I'd say they came via Apartment Therapy and Decor8, great sites if your looking for interior design inspiration.
How amazing do these look? And they're pencils! Felissimo has over 500 colours to choose from AND display units so they can become works of art in themselves. Trouble is I don't think I'd ever want to use them.
It's been a while since I designed a t-shirt, but the other day I had the idea of a blank rubik's cube. So here it is - our simplify tee. Available in our redbubble store.
I'm so pleased with my latest wedding invite design I have to share... he he

Our four legged friends have been strutting their stuff on the catwalks of New York as part of the Fashion Institute of Technology's annual Pet Fahion Show. And don't they look gorgeous, not to mention happy! Must be the first time the catwalks of NY fashion week have seen such cheerful and well fed models...

Happy weekend everyone. I'll be washing the dog - perhaps not like this though.

Flights are delayed all over the place as the volcano in Iceland creates major disruptions. But it does have its benefits - beautiful sunsets are being caused by all the ash in the atmosphere at the moment. This is one of my favourite pics, check out flickr for more.
It was hubbies birthday on the weekend so I tried out one of the chocolate cake recipes from the latest Donna Hay magazine and it turned out really well. Scampi was certainly very interested in getting his piece of cake. Sorry munchkin, no chocolate for doggies.
With Easter just around the corner I thought I'd design another FREE printable, this time an Easter bunny treat cone for collecting all those little eggs in.
Instructions:
1. Visit the free download section of the shop and print out the PDF template
2. Cut around the outside of the template (parents may want to do this for smaller children especially round the tricky ears)
3. Fold the tab over then glue or tape it into place
4. Go hunting for yummy treats
Every now and then I come across a style of work that really makes me stop in my tracks. I just love the beautiful and inspiring blog and gorgeous etsy shop of Dolan Geiman - contempory art with a southern accent.
I'm absolutely positively loving the new tourism campaign for Wellington at the moment. So much work must have gone into it creating fabric miniatures of the Wellington region and landmarks. Very clever. Watch the video here.
The next project for the studio HAS to be an inspiration wall. Take a look at these gorgeous examples...

Art Directing a beauty magazine I certainly get to see my fair share of perfume. Lately there have been some truly amazing bottles coming out and I wanted to share some of my favourites. From the top: Only the Brave from Diesel tops my list of amazing fragrance bottle design. Marc Jacobs Daisy never ceases to amaze with its constant releases of the same fragrance - slightly different bottle, obviously a winning design. Marc Jacobs Lola another gorgeous bottle. And how cute are these little rechargeable purse fragrances from Juliette Has a Gun? Oh and they all smell pretty good too.
I have to say Im really liking the new way of viewing my tshirts over on redbubble. Gives you a great idea of how they look.
Oh my god I cant believe one of my favourite photographers Sharon Montrose has released a book full of frenchie puppy photos! How cute are these!! I think Scampi is a bit too big to fit in our retro scales now.
What a nice surprise this Australia Day, my Aussie button t shirt has been featured on the redbubble home page! Thanks for the lovely comments and happy Australia Day everyone!
Finally made a decision on my wedding invitations, not an easy thing when you're a wedding stationery designer!
Thanks to the windows and doors group on redbubble who awarded our 'Flowerbox in Paris' photographic print the 'Best of featured work in the group for 2009'! Thanks guys!
This week I finally found some time to tweak another one of Aarons beautiful sunrise beach shots. Love the pink and cloud detail. I think it would make a lovely gift for Valentines Day.
